Sterling Energy Plc is an independent oil and gas company focused principally on high potential exploration opportunities in Africa.
The Company is building a portfolio of operated and non-operated oil and gas exploration opportunities, holding a material interest in each. Sterling has built its portfolio through a combination of licence awards from host governments and through corporate acquisition.
Sterling’s existing portfolio offers a range of opportunity, characterised in general terms as follows:
- Cameroon: Non-operating partner of high potential deep water offshore exploration block.
- Madagascar: Non-operating partner of one high potential deep water offshore exploration block and Operator of a second.
- Mauritania: Interests in a producing asset.
The Company’s joint venture partners include ExxonMobil and Murphy; both having an outstanding track record in oil and gas exploration and development.
Sterling is led by an experienced Board and management team with considerable experience in oil and gas exploration, appraisal, development and production, and in growing small capitalisation oil and gas companies.
The Company is quoted on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange.
